Jazz Record Listening Club: Exploration Sessions

Help us form a new club! Two exploration sessions will shape a new Jazz Record Listening Club at the library.

This is for people who enjoy or are curious about:
- listening closely to jazz music
- learning together (no expertise required)
- talking about songs, recordings, musicians, jazz history, and more

The format and meeting time will be shaped by the people who show interest.

 This club is intended for adults. Youth may attend with an adult, with the understanding that jazz history and lyrics sometimes include mature themes. Snacks welcome. Sharing is encouraged. Can’t attend? A short survey will be available for input and contact info.

Chinese New Year Celebration

If winter blues are hitting and it's too cold outside to do anything but stay inside, then make your way to Cinemapolis for "The Navigator" (1924) starring the inimitable Buster Keaton! Featuring live musical accompaniment by Emmett Scott on keyboard.

While Mr. Keaton never smiled in any of his films, we know you will -- and laugh, too -- at "The Navigator"! The film was Keaton's commercial breakthrough, catapulting him to fame as a brilliant comedic actor.

The screening is FREE and open to all ages. Join us!
