Glass Arts Society (GAS) Conference

Corning Museum of Glass and the Corning community will host the the Glass Art Society (GAS) Conference June 3–6, 2026. 1,600 glass artists and enthusiasts are registered to attend—growing Corning's population by 15% during the conference. 

GAS-specific events open to the public on Friday, June 5th:
- Sparkle To Go: Jewelry Trunk Show in the Civic Center from 3:00 - 6:00 PM
- Glass Art Society Student Exhibition Opening Reception at The ARTS Council from 5:00 - 7:00 PM
- Goblet Grab at Union Hall from 5:30 - 6:30 PM
- Centerway Pedestrian Bridge Neon & Light Exhibition from 6:00 - 10:00 PM

- Glassy Storytime Open Mic with Susie Silbert at The Rockwell Art Lab, Friday at 6:00 PM & 7:30PM

June Dance 2026

June Dance 2026 features the choreographic, performance, and film work of Rik Daniels, Mark Schmidt, Jim Self, and Danielle Russo / with performance by Jason Collins.

Queer Culture, physical intensity, stories of grief and redemption, disability, and triumph, are all rolled into three dynamic live solos, and one stunning screen dance. All performers are award winners and have toured expansively sharing their unique and distinct movement voices. Audiences both nights are invited to stay for a while and dance. After-party tunes by DJ WhoisBriantech.

Featuring vendors, tractor & agricultural implements on display, car show, bicycle giveaways, parade, free milk, cheese, and yogurt (while supplies last), and tractor pulls! Come show some love to our local dairy farmers!

Elmira Pride

The free event is a family friendly celebration, rain or shine

  • Music, special performances, drag, karaoke, and storytime

  • Interactive art activities, community collaborative projects, demos, and information about local organization & resources

  • Food trucks & face painting

  • Remembrance dove release in honor of those from the LGBTQI+ community who lost their lives to hate crimes, AIDS and/or suicide

The intention of the Elmira Pride Festival is to foster understanding and acceptance through open, honest and non-judgmental learning and dialogue between those who identify as LGBTQI+ and those who would like to support and foster relationships with LGBTQI+ individuals in the community. The church remains steadfast in its desire to create a safe and inclusive community for everyone.

2nd Annual Food Truck Rally

Thorne Park, Horseheads

A family-friendly community festival featuring a diverse lineup of food trucks serving local favorites and international cuisine in a friendly food truck competition. Attendees can participate in voting while enjoying live music, artisan vendors, community organizations, and family activities. Admission is free.

Trumansburg Porchfest
12:00 - 5:00 PM
Various locations in T’burg

Come out and stroll the sweet village streets of Trumansburg while listening to over 40 bands play its lovely porches between noon and 5pm. Then from 5-7pm, head to the center of town where we'll have dancing in the street for a grand finale show with Louiston!

We also invite you to come earlier or stay later to enjoy brunch, lunch, dinner, and shopping in one of our many local businesses!

Free parking is available in the village municipal lot and on Main Street. (Please no parking on the village side streets.)

Birding Is For Every Body - Inclusive Community Birding Event
Hosted by Chemung Valley Audubon Society

Harris Hill Youth Camp, Elmira

FREE! No registration required! Please join us for Birding is for Every Body, a family-friendly inclusive community birding event for all ages. There is parking and a ramp available, and all of our events are open to everyone, regardless of age, race, religion, ability or gender identity.

Activities will include a guided bird walk at 3PM, make and take bird feeders, hands-on binoculars and scopes, a Bird ID workshop, photography display with Q&A, a free books giveaway, and more. There are no costs for any of these fun activities!
