Highlights for March 20-22: Spring will officially arrive this weekend! (Although really we're just about reaching the Spring of Deception that I was talking about a couple of weeks ago...) We've got theatre, music, dancing, and, of course, Fairy Fest!

 | The Dirty Disco Monthly w/ Proper Philth, DJ Evermix, U-Lock With DJ Evermix back from spinning all night beach parties in Mozambique and the goddess U-Lock coming to bless the dancefloor...I have the feeling this month's session is going to be special U-Lock has been a student of dance music for years through attending many local functions, often pegged "the last one standing" after dancing for hours upon hours. Soon enough, in 2017, with the help of local DJ friends, she was able to occasionally hop behind the decks to get an initial feel for the craft. Today, U-Lock has honed a bit of a sound, selecting a variety of deep and high energy house, techno, disco, electro, UKG, indie/dance punk and beyond. |

6 Years of FLXcalendar!
Six years ago, my humble little plan to start an ambitious community events calendar was given a very important green light from its generous benefactor, The Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes.
I remember washing my hands so much that my skin cracked, the eerie lack of traffic on the street in Painted Post where I lived at the time, and naively thinking, “I’ll just post virtual events for a couple of weeks until this whole wacky lockdown blows over.” (HA!) The first couple of years definitely had moments where I questioned my crazy calendar dream, but watching FLXcalendar take off has been really something special.
My heartfelt thanks to all of you for following FLXcalendar, checking it regularly, and subscribing to this newsletter. This endeavor has been an “If you build it, [they] will come” situation, and—well—thanks for coming here again & again!
