Highlights for May 29-31: Let's shake off the gloomy vibes from last weekend and kick up our heels this weekend with Ithaca Fest, including a downtown disco, plus a ribbon cutting for Paddle in the 607, drag queen BINGO, and last but certainly not least, Mural Fest in Elmira!

![]() | Drag Queen Bingo, hosted by Miss Viola and Cowboy Jane Kick-off Pride Month early with Drag Queen Bingo, hosted by Miss Viola and Cowboy Jane! This event is free and open to ages 18+; pizza, snacks, and refreshments will be provided. Space is limited and a ticket is required for entry. Show your ID and pick up a ticket at Steele Memorial Library customer service desk. Please note, this is an after-hours event - the library will not be open to the public, only those with tickets will be allowed to enter. |

![]() | Paddle the 607 - Ribbon Cutting The New York Susquehanna Basin Water Trail (NYSBWT) follows the Chemung and Susquehanna Rivers of south-central New York State. From Cooperstown to Corning, the trail welcomes paddlers and anglers of all abilities to explore the natural beauty, history, and river communities along 190 miles of exciting waterways. Last year we kicked off the opening of the Water Trail at the ribbon cutting in Cooperstown, NY at the top of the Susquehanna River, but we wanted to show the Chemung River some love too. Please join us in celebrating the western branch of the NYSBWT with a ribbon cutting at Kinsella Park in Painted Post. Enjoy lawn games, food trucks, hiking trails, try out one of our new kayaks, and more. Celebrate the Chemung River and the NYSBWT with us and our collaborative partners, Explore Steuben, Discover Chemung, and the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce! |

![]() | STC’s 29th Annual Regional Leadership ConferenceSouthern Tier Central Regional Planning & Development Board (STC) is holding their all-day 29th Annual Regional Leadership Conference on Thursday, June 11th at Corning Community College. This annual conference provides an opportunity for community board members and local officials to receive continuing education credits and fulfill credit requirements for their positions. However, this conference is not just for municipal officials! We welcome the public, local organizations, businesses, and nonprofits to join us, as well, for our great array of specialized classes, such as 1-on-1 grant writing support, building outdoor recreation opportunities in rural communities, solar energy siting and policy, and navigating ethical dilemmas. The cost to attend is $75 and includes parking, breakfast, lunch and dessert, 27 classes to choose from, and opportunities to visit with highly informative collaborators and vendors. Registration and payment for this event are due TODAY, May 29. Registration will begin at 7 am on the day of, with the first set of classes beginning at 8.
