Shooting Stars

Growing up, one of my favorite past times was staring into the night sky. I remember my first time seeing a comet, spotting three planets aligned, and using a telescope to study the surface of the moon. In fact, my grandfather bought me that telescope simply because he wanted me to have a closer look.

So that’s why I love the Perseid meteor shower, which happens every summer until late August. Just this week I caught one of the brightest shooting stars I’ve ever seen - and trust me, I’ve been watching for years.

If you’re looking for something to do on a warm, dark, clear night this week, sit outside and stare at the night sky. You won’t be disappointed!
