This space will be accessible via the library parking lot. You may also park in the additional school lots. AVAILABLE ITEMS: Friends of Watkins Library (FOWL) will offer a special opportunity for early access at 9:00am. |
 | Strong Kids Safe Kids Festival The annual Strong Kids Safe Kids Festival is coming to the Chemung County Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 23th from 11am till 2pm. This fun-filled educational, FREE event is supported by premier sponsors Fidelis Care and Well Care by Fidelis Care, WETM 18 News, Kennedy Valve and Chemung County. All exhibitors provide free, hands-on activities geared toward health and safety awareness in addition to handing out information on how they help local families. Slow Down, Summer!
This is one of those calendar years when Labor Day is as early as it can be. So for those who follow the “Memorial Day to Labor Day” definition of summer, this weekend is the last hurrah.
Personally, I like to savor every warm, sunny day possible. But it’s hard not to acknowledge how quickly the “official” summer months have gone by. Seems like yesterday we were complaining about a rainy spring.
So with that in mind, cheers to a slow weekend full of big smiles and your favorite people!
