“The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) and FootHills Publishing present Poets in Play All Day at 79 West Market St., Corning, NY. Come for the whole day or part of the day. No registration is required; this event is free and open to the public!
Join us for a full day of poetry in celebration of National Poetry Month and Poets in Play’s 10th season with poetry readings, workshops, food, and conversation. There will be three featured readings, two open mic readings, and one writing workshop throughout the day. Featured readers are GS Murphy, Tamar Samuel-Siegel, and special guest, Sweden Beat Poet Laureate Bengt O Björklund. Craig Czury will facilitate a Poem Fusion Workshop and performance. A potluck lunch is planned, so bring along some light food to share if you are able. Electrical outlets are available for crock pot.”

It’s good to be home again!
Thank you all for being patient for my return! Our babymoon was everything and more. We ate the food, we drank the wine (which was fun to explain to folks after we had just told them that we were on a babymoon—I had to keep reassuring people that it was OK since we’re working with a surrogate, and I’m not actually pregnant!), we saw the sights, we enjoyed round 1 of spring (and now we’re doing round 2 here!), and we were so happy to come home again.
I’m excited to get back in the groove and back in your inboxes! May, June, and July are shaping up to be full of amazing events, festivals, music, and more. Goodness gracious do I love this area and our community so goldang much!
And then we expect our kiddo to arrive in early August. 🥰
You’d think we wouldn’t need to go see more waterfalls, since we come from the land of waterfalls, but then again, waterfalls are too cool not to be visited! This is the iconic Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge.
