Come to the SFLM to speak with staff and volunteers while enjoying some time out on the water and in the wetlands! Kayaks and paddles, canoes and paddles, and life jackets for children and adults are available to use at the museum. Or bring your own!” |
 | Newark Valley Summerfest “In the wake of the recent flooding that hit our buildings on Main Street, we’ve been deeply moved by the incredible outpouring of support from our community. Thanks to the kindness, energy, and resilience of our neighbors, we’ve made significant strides in our recovery. This event will feature local art, music, food, and historical displays—and we would truly appreciate it if our supporters, neighbors, and community members came out to join us.  | Odessa Community Day “Free Children’s Activities: Kids can get creative with face painting, enjoy interactive games, and take home balloon creations. Families are invited to explore local community vehicles such as fire trucks, ambulances, and more. It’s a fun and educational experience for children to see these vehicles up close. Browse unique items from local artisans, learn about important nonprofit organizations in our area, and enjoy delicious food from local vendors. This annual event is completely free to attend, with ample parking nearby. Whether you’re looking to shop, play, or simply soak in the lively atmosphere, Odessa Community Day offers something for everyone.” |

“WaterMusic & Dancing on the Trail is an annual celebration of acoustic music and human-powered movement on Ithaca’s waterfront for the enjoyment of paddlers, trail users and music lovers alike. WaterMusic presents a variety of music and dance performances by solo artists, tiny bands and community music groups. This year our featured performers include Jorge Cuevas and the Caribe All-Stars, Joe Crookston, the Triphammer Arts Dancers, Grassanova, Steven Stull, Naomi Sommers & Rick Manning, Downstairs Bluegrass Pickers, Deep Dive Old Time Jammers, Skylark Recorder Ensemble, Ithaca Ukes, Canaan Session Fiddlers, and more.”

It’s been a pleasure to compile these newsletters since the launch in January, and I hope they’ve been helpful to all of you out there. Rest assured, the calendar will continue to be updated and the newsletters will continue in my absence. I have two wonderful folks covering for me, so I am leaving my work in good hands.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone in the community who has supported me & FLXcalendar and now this kiddo. It’s been a long, challenging journey, but the outpouring of love and support from so many caring individuals has helped keep me going. It really does take a village. Great big love to you all!
