TOP 5

ALL WEEKEND

“Rumors” presented by Elmira Little Theatre
Friday & Saturday at 7:30 PM
Sunday at 2:00 PM
Mandeville Hall at the Clemens Center

“Chris and Ken Gorman arrive at a fancy dinner party for their friend, Charley Brock. They discover that all is not well, and that Charley has had an accident involving a shotgun and his earlobe. This could be damaging to Charley’s reputation, as he is deputy mayor of New York City. Chris and Ken’s friends begin to arrive. As they attempt to cover up the facts, hilarity ensues. Neil Simon’s Rumors is a charming farce with lots of gags, twists, zingers, and zanies, but it also borrows from Simon’s life experience to depict the challenges, as well as the comforts, of married life.”

FRIDAY & SATURDAY

Driftwood
8:00 PM Doors / 9:00 PM Show
Deep Dive
415 Old Taughannock Blvd, Ithaca

“Driftwood is basically a beautiful friendship that happens to play music together,” says Joe. “I know it's rare. I know I'm lucky to know these people and lean on them and go through these massive life changes together.” For Driftwood, each song is like a journal entry: cathartic to create, yes, but capable of unlocking new lessons—and when shared—forging new bonds. “We're communal, right? Humans need to be connected,” Joe says. “And we get to have this special thing.”

SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Plant Sale Fundraiser for Elmira Community Cycle
11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Both Days

If you want to help us continue to use bicycles to build solidarity and to improve the quality of life in our community, or if you just love plants, raffles, and baked goods, come visit us on Saturday May 3, and Sunday, May 4th!”

2:00 - 5:00 PM
The Historic Benjamin Patterson Inn
73 W Pulteney Street, Corning

“This year's event will include a selection of lavender-infused teas and dishes, a lace exhibit, and a special presentation by the Finger Lakes Lace Guild, with a hands-on opportunity to try lace making. Enjoy raffles, door prizes, and much more! To reserve your seat, please call us at 607-937-5281 or email [email protected]. Tickets are limited, so don’t wait!”

New to the Area?

Let me introduce you to: Urban Sketchers

You don’t need to be “an artist” in order to doodle & sketch with a group of wonderful folks (the kind of folks who are great for making connections) in a great local spot!

“Urban Sketchers is a global community of sketchers dedicated to the practice of on-location drawing. We share our love for the places where we live and travel—one drawing at a time.” And luckily, there is a local chapter based in Corning!

Next Urban Sketchers meet-up is at State of the Art Gallery in Ithaca on Sunday, May 4th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
