Light Up Corning!

If you live in or near Corning, you probably remember when the Gaffer District decided not to light all the trees on Market Street for the holidays. It was a financial decision, one that was met with a lot of public backlash. But despite the negative response, and the willingness to make donations that would cover the gap, most of the trees in Corning have stayed dark for the past 3 years.

This year, the Gaffer District finally announced they are re-lighting all the trees! And they are asking businesses and residents to back up their offer to sustain the lights for years to come.

If you feel so inclined, take a look at the donation site set up at www.givebutter.com/4sHm0Q - you can choose to sponsor a tree for the full lighting “cycle,” or whatever fits your budget. Truly bright news for the holiday season!
