Local Love

Palace Theater in Corning

It’s true that many of us have fallen into the pattern of watching movies via streaming services at home. It’s cozy, you can wear your PJs, you can pause the movie. Sure. But are you going to remember watching that movie like you would if you saw it in a theater, probably not.

There’s just something wonderfully romantic about watching a movie in a theater. And the more people in the theater, the more magical it is. A joke is funnier if a big group of people are laughing. An intense moment is more satisfying if everyone in the room is reacting to it all together. So if you’ve never been to Palace Theater or it’s been a while since you’ve gone, this is the friendly nudge to get up and go see a movie!
